Mars and its influence in astrology

Tuesday, or “Dies Martis”, is traditionally under the sign of Mars, the Roman god of war. In Hebrew, Mars is called “Ma’adim”, which means “red”—a fitting name for this red planet.
Mars in astrology has a masculine, hot and dry energy. You see its fiery nature reflected in sharp objects (such as knives), fiery situations and intense energies. Think of high fever, lust, sexual energy, but also the will to win and to prove yourself.
Although Mars can sometimes be destructive, it also brings necessary changes. It gives us the strength to make choices, achieve goals and overcome obstacles.
